St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Chapel Cleaner to ensure The Chapel & Song School are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation – providing a welcoming and respectful environment during services and events.
The primary aim of the Housekeeping department is to prepare and clean College rooms and furnishings. To provide general cleaning support within the College in order to deliver efficient and effective housekeeping services to College members, their guests and conference delegates, by a well-motivated and trained team.
The College offers a competitive benefits package including membership of a defined contributory pension scheme, 36 days’ annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays), access to a ‘cash plan’ healthcare scheme currently provided by Simplyhealth, free lunch (up to a specified monetary limit), free use of an on-site Gym and free parking close to the College site, subject to availability.
