Job type: Fixed term for 6 months, commencing June 2026

Hours: 36.25 hours per week

 

St John’s College, one of the largest Colleges within the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Special Collections Assistant to cover parental leave within the Library & Archives department. The purpose of this post is to assist the Special Collections Librarian in all aspects of the work of the Old Library, with particular responsibility for invigilating in the Rare Books Reading Room.

 

The Library aims to provide a modern, efficient and welcoming Library service for all members of the College, and for all others with valid reasons to make use of the College’s library collections and facilities, so enabling the College to fulfil its statutory and strategic aims.
